In the spirit of Rich Hickie I'm going to try and decomplect some words that have been misused so much that they are no longer useful.
When the government owns the means of production
When the government takes from those with ability and gives to those with need. It's essentially turning the economy into one big family
When the government believes in the magic of free markets and sees itself as the enforcer of contracts
When there is no government
When the government sees it's country as more important than other countries
When the government acts like a total dick to other countries.
When all governments trust each other and work together
When you assign a precise definition to these words it's obvious why these words lost their meaning in the first place. We have assigned labels to locations on dimensions without ever explicitly talking about the dimensions.
All these labels fit on two dimensions. The first is how much the government participates in its internal economy. Anarchy means no participation, communist means they participate in everything.
The other dimension is how the government interacts with other governments. Is it the windscreen or the bug. Pacifist governments place a lot of trust in others while Facist ones are paranoid.
If freemarketism didn't sound so goofy it would be the word we use for capitalism
